The Travelers’ Championship delivered great success in 2020 after the huge three-month hiatus of the PGA Tour amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The same is expected this year with a high-profile field playing a good run in what will be a somewhat light week after the US Open.

Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau are your headliners, but half of the world’s top 10 are here, and they’re joined by other big names like Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson, Matthew Wolff and Sergio Garcia. A complete ball hitting party!

While it remains unlikely that we will have a Koepka-DeChambeau showdown, there is at least a chance that it will happen. They play very few of the same tournaments every year – only the US Open and the PGA Championship over the past month – so any event that has their two names on the pitch raises the stakes of anticipation a bit, although it will be. probably take the time for a weekend matchmaking to make that happen.

Koepka went to DeChambeau again on Tuesday on SportsCenter when he said he got a “good answer” from other PGA Tour players about his feud with DeChambeau. Hopefully at some point they actually meet on a golf course instead of just digital content seemingly every other day. Hopefully they end up on a golf course this weekend in Connecticut. If they do (and even if they don’t), here’s where you can find it.
