Jersey Mike’s in Canton Holland reopens after facelift
HOLLAND TWP. – For Jersey Mike fans, the long weekend of waiting for the Holland Township sandwich shop to reopen was well worth it.
The take-out favorite at 12465 James Street reopened on Monday, August 16, after several days of renovations. The new look includes sleek wood planks, cool blue tiles and, perhaps most importantly, easier access to pickup controls.
âHolland has been a great market for us,â said Bob Middleton, President of STB-GR, Inc. âWe are very happy to be here and we have been very well received.

STB-GR signed an eight store development agreement in 2015, which included Grand Rapids, Grand Haven, Holland and Muskegon. The Holland store opened in December 2018, followed by the Grand Haven store in September 2019.
But six months later, the COVID-19 pandemic struck.
âI feel really bad for the restaurant industry in general because it’s been pretty devastating,â Middleton said. “But we’re lucky to be quick and laid back. Our product is very transportable and delivers really well, so we really took advantage of it because sit-down restaurants just haven’t been able to do it that easily.”
Jersey brand owner Mike’s Subs, Peter Cancro, has funded restaurant renovations across the country.

âHe doesn’t want the brand to get tired,â Middleton said. âWe’ve made a few adjustments based on the new reality of third-party delivery and online ordering, organizing our product so that it is very convenient for our customers to take on the go. Really, we’ve made it more user-friendly for our customers. “
Jersey Mike’s in Holland is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
