The Christopher Group is recruiting a Vice President of Human Resources for Telesat

April 22, 2022 – The Christopher Group (TCG), an HR executive search and business solutions firm, has placed France Teasdale as vice-president of human resources at Telesat, an Ottawa-based satellite operator. Tom Christopher and Jeff Wilbanks led the mission.

“Telesat is on a roll. It recently won a $5 billion (Canadian) contract from the Government of Canada to launch 1,600 satellites into low Earth orbit and also completed an initial public offering towards the end of 2021,” Mr. Christopher. “As you can imagine, this, among other things, generates tremendous growth opportunities across the globe. We are proud to entrust France Teasdale with this crucial role. This research highlights the effectiveness of the Christopher recruitment system and our ability to conduct international research,” as Ms. Teasdale will be moving to Ottawa from the United States.

As Vice President of HR, Ms. Teasdale will be responsible for developing and implementing HR programs, strategies and processes in partnership with the business, including compensation, benefits, rewards, budgeting and politics. This includes, but is not limited to, building relationships with employees, establishing and managing interviews, the hiring process, DEI practices and committee, and enforcing the policies and practices of the company during their rapid expansion.

Ms. Teasdale brings over 25 years of experience with Héroux-Devtek Inc., Mecanica Solutions Inc. and, most recently, IDCAD Consulting Inc.
