Women’s tennis set to host rival ETSU on Saturday

CHATTANOOGA — The Chattanooga Mocs women’s tennis team is set to return to Southern Conference action this weekend when they host national rival ETSU on Saturday at the UTC Tennis Center on campus. The first service is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.

Chattanooga is currently riding a five-game winning streak and enters the weekend with a 10-5 overall rating and a perfect 2-0 total in SoCon play. The Mocs are coming off two league wins at home last weekend after the team beat Wofford (5-2) and West Carolina (7-0).

The team was led by outstanding performances in all areas. Coco Bosman is currently riding a seven-game winning streak in singles in addition to six-game winning streak in doubles, partnering three times with Emma Van Hee and three with Callie Billman.

Van Hee has won his last five singles matches, all ranked 4th, and has won his last six doubles clashes split between Bosman and Nicole Abel. Abel has won his last four No. 1 singles matches and his last four doubles matches.

Perennial league powerhouse ETSU enters the conference game with an 11-7 overall record and a perfect 3-0 total in the SoCon. All three conference wins came against West Carolina (7-0), Wofford (7-0) and Mercer (6-1) in dominant fashion. ETSU beat UTC 6-1 last season.
